“INSIDE ALL OF US IS A WILD THING”
I have begun researching mythos in hopes of implementing these principals within future motion graphic projects. The trailer for Spike Jonze’s Where the Wild Things Are is a medley of archetypes that pulls on humanity’s mythic impulses. Max’s longing for adventure, camaraderie, battle, and “wildness” seems so sincere through the eyes of child actor, Max Fischer. I love how Jonze parallels the boy’s real life with that of the extraordinary. From what I’ve seen so far, Maurice Sendak’s famous book will soon become a cinematic masterpiece! Somehow Spike Jonze just got even cooler.
